The thing I remember the most about Pre Rup temple is the beautiful red brick color of its walls. The size of this temple is relatively small, compared with other temples in Angkor, but the structure is interesting and once you have made it to the top it offers magnificent views of the surrounding jungle.
I also liked a lot the imposing guardian lions that you find as you scale the main stairs. When we arrived to Pre Rup temple a light rain started, we were worried that this will ruin our visit but in the end it was just a momentary rain and after it passed the colors of the vegetation were even more gorgeous.
Another thing that we enjoyed were the views to the rice paddy fields that you can find in your way to Pre Rup temple (see the photos at the beginning of the gallery).
In general this is a nice and refreshing temple that offer a different perspective of the Angkorian architecture.
